Alvin and the Chipmunks is a live-action/CGI comedy film released in 2007, directed by Tim Hill. The movie is based on the popular animated television series of the same name. The story revolves around three chipmunks - Alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (James Monroe Iglehart) - who are taken in by a struggling songwriter, David Seville (Jason Lee).
