The movie follows the story of John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), a cynical and irreverent chain-smoking demon hunter who is also a magician. Constantine is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and sees an opportunity to cheat death by using his magical abilities to travel to heaven. However, he soon discovers that his actions have unintended consequences, and he must navigate a complex web of demonic and angelic forces to prevent a catastrophic outcome.
