As Melinda tries to communicate with Sam, she learns that he's been trapped between worlds for years, unable to move on. Sam asks Melinda to help him find his lost balloon, which he believes will allow him to finally rest in peace. Melinda agrees to help and, through her investigation, uncovers the circumstances surrounding Sam's death.
