The Reina-Valera 1960 was translated by a team of scholars led by Dr. Carlos Reina and Dr. Valentín Vega. The translation was published by the Sociedad Bíblica Americana (American Bible Society) and was based on the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic texts of the Bible.
