"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton. It's based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs. The story revolves around Jake Portman (played by Evan Bylor in the film's early scenes and later by Fox Smith), a teenager who discovers that his grandfather, Abe (Terence Howard), was hiding a remarkable secret.
