"Real Steel" is set in a future where robotic boxers, called "mechs," have become a popular sport. The story follows Hugh Jackman's character, Charlie Kenton, a former boxer who lost his career due to an injury. Charlie's estranged son, Max, and his friend, Hugo, win a robot, Atom, at a junkyard auction. The robot was originally built for recreational purposes but turns out to have great potential in the mech boxing world.
