Thegidi resists the modern thriller’s temptation to bombard with twists; instead it savors the methodical process of detection, which gives weight to the protagonist’s discoveries and missteps. A mid-film shift toward clearer peril ramps tension effectively, though a couple of late reveals feel compressed, as if the film suddenly needed to tie threads quicker than earlier scenes suggested it would.
