The film Viswasam revolves around the story of Thalaivar (Ajith Kumar), a timber smuggler who lives in a village with his wife, Hema (Nayanthara), and their daughter, Aaditi (Aaditi Jha). Thalaivar is a man of principles and has a strong bond with his family and friends. His life takes a dramatic turn when he gets involved in a dispute with a notorious sand mining mafia, led by Sangara (Suman).
