Wolverine's mission is to prevent the assassination of Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), the creator of the sentinels, which will lead to a catastrophic future where mutants are on the brink of extinction. He must find and convince Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) to work together to stop the assassination.
